Thank you for visiting my site. I've had an on-again off-again love affair with photography, virtually all of my life. This started as a child, with a Polaroid SX70 camera, moving on to 35mm B&W film as a teen, and ultimately making the conversion to digital in 2001. I still shoot film, 35mm and 120 roll film on occasion.
Over the last decade, I've thrown myself into various styles of photography, and truly explored many avenues that have piqued my interest. I decided I did not want to "specialize" in any one form or genre. I simply want to be a "photographer".
I continue to explore and travel different avenues, to broaden my experience, and hone the craft.
I now run my own studio in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, which is open to the public, and various photography groups in the Jersey Shore area. I run regular workshops, events, and meetings. I also produce a high volume of modeling and portrait work from my location.
When I'm not in the studio, I am usually documenting local shore towns and events, or simply on my own personal Jersey Shore safari's, capturing the sights that we may see daily and take for granted. These are the images I produce for art shows, donate to local charitable events , and also use in my workshops as viewable tools.
Beyond the time I spend behind the lens, I am also involved in digitizing old slides, negatives, scanning and restoring old photographs for the private sector and local historical groups.
Please browse the site for more information and have a look at the images. Feel free to use the contact form to get in touch with me regarding your photographic needs, or questions.

Image Restoration
Currently Under Construction
My studio is available for hourly rental to photographers, organizations and schools.
The space is about the size of a two-car garage, with 8ft high drop ceilings. NO CYC WALL
Equipped with a fair arsenal of studio lighting, backdrops and lighting modifiers, virtually any style of photography can be created here. Bringing in your own lighting (NO DIY LIGHTING) is also permitted.
Studio rental rates are as follows:
Full Day (8hrs): $200
4hr block: $35/hr
2hr block: $40/hr
The studio is equipped with a small bathroom for changing, and a small mobile, well lit area for applying makeup and styling.
A small refrigerator is also on the premises to keep food and beverage items cold. (*note, no alcohol is permitted*) And what working studio would be complete without a coffee maker?
I am in the process of supplying a Windows 7 powered workstation for photographers to access, in order to copy files on the fly, to supply to their clients. Lightroom 3 and CS5 will also be available. The studio is a wi-fi hotspot, so you may also bring your own laptops and access the network/internet.

Out with the old, and in with the new. Getting prepped for some new endeavors in 2012. The current studio location will hopefully expand in Jan/Feb, which will ultimately double in size. It will still be a very "intimate" locale, but a true store-front presence will be in place. All the T's and i's aren't completed yet, but things are looking good!
Three workshops will be on the menu as regular offerings to local photographers looking to expand their grasp of the art. These workshops are listed in the contents of the SERVICES page.
The first meeting of the Atlantic Highlands Photography Club will take place on Monday, January 2nd at 6pm.
I've begun the selection process for 12-14 new images that I will be producing for some early spring shows and displays in the area. My last show at Espresso Joe's in October 2011 was a "beyond my expectations" success. I wish to again thank everyone that supported that show, and purchased some of my work. My deepest gratitude to everyone.
My work in the modeling community continues, however work on the Garden State Models entity has slowed. It's not an abandonded effort, but some other things have taken the spotlight, and one of those things is the prospect of the studios expansion. I'll get back to this, hopefully sooner than later.
As I've been brandished a "Retro/Pinup" photographer, I am also continuing to expand on the East Coast Pinups subsidiary. I am honored by the outpouring of support, and thrilled to be mentioned with some of the great pinup photographers in this area. I am also continuing my work as a contributing photographer to Retro Lovely Magazine . While this style of work has "put me on the radar", it is not solely the style of work I focus my attentions and fruits of my labor on. But I can't deny that I love it! More thanks to those that have supported me on this front as well.
As the studio itself as a location has garnered some attention from other local photographers, mostly interested in it as a reliable hub and rental space, I am welcoming in those that wish to use the space for their own work and commissions. I'd love to say that the studio is my own personal playground, however, in order for that to be maintained, it needs to be open to other shooters, and prove to be a reliable resource for them as well. The community of shooters, makeup artists, models, and other artists seems to be in a state of disarray, and there aren't many places in the shore area for these creatives to assemble and do just that...create. My sole mission for 2012 is to continue to build this base, and provide a location for this community to move forward and ultimately blossom.
For any information regarding studio rental space, or any inquiries in general, please use the contact form, or simply call the studio. Looking forward to 2012.
